City Floor Supply Opens Machine Repair Shop in Honor of Late Father

City Floor Supply, formerly Philadelphia Floor Store, opened a machine repair shop at its King of Prussia, Pa., location.

The machine repair shop is more than 1,000 square feet and includes work benches, testing facilities and a machine shop. City Floor Supply uploaded a video tour of the shop to YouTube.

The machine repair shop is dedicated to City Floor Supply founders’ late father, Ed Glavin, a machinist. Glavin built the original machine repair shop at City Floor Supply’s old location, which was destroyed in a fire on May 18, 2015.

“The machine repair shop is truly a special part of what we do here at City Floor Supply,” said Joe Glavin, co-owner and national sales manager, in a statement. “Not many distributors offer this level of service, and my father, Ed Glavin, is responsible for that. He helped us set up our original shop and taught us everything we know about machine repair.”
