Containers that arrive at a Chinese port without the proper certificate will be fumigated by Chinese customs at about 45 cents per ton of cargo, according to AHEC.
China implemented the rule after health authorities in Florida identified an active zone of Zika virus transmission within a Miami neighborhood on Aug. 3. A second zone of active Zika transmission, this time a portion of Florida’s Miami Beach, was announced Aug. 19
