A workshop will be held Jan. 18–19 to provide an overview of the EPA’s final rule on formaldehyde issued earlier this summer.
The workshop, a joint effort between the International Wood Products Association, American Home Furnishings Alliance and Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association, will take place inside the conference center at Guilford Technical Community College in Colfax, N.C.
“All suppliers of composite wood products need to move quickly to be ready for the roll-out of the new EPA regulations and the new Toxic Substances Control Act import certification,” said IWPA Executive Director Cindy Squires in a statement. “Attending this event will help firms jumpstart that process.”
The event will feature eight speakers, including Erik Winchester of the EPA’s Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention, which drafted the rule and its implementation guidelines, and Jill Witter, Lumber Liquidators secretary and chief compliance and legal officer.
Registration costs $249. The deadline for registration is Jan. 6. Registration may be completed online.
