Home Depot Profits Up Almost 18 Percent in Q3

Home Depot made $2 billion in profit in the third quarter of 2016, a 17.6 percent increase from the company’s $1.7 billion profit in the third quarter of 2015, according to the company’s SEC filing.

Sales were $23.2 billion in the third quarter 2016, a 6.42 percent annual increase compared with third quarter 2015 sales of $21.8 billion. Comparable store sales were up 5.5 percent.

Flooring segment financials were not released, but the company did report the flooring department’s comparable sales did increase in the third quarter of 2016.
