The World Floor Covering Association’s WFCA University, which launched Jan. 9, is an online and on-site professional training program built to enhance floor covering professional’s business skillsets.
The online component of the WFCA University consists of 45 online courses covering selling skills, merchandising controls, pricing strategies, budgeting and financial metrics, sales management, and recruiting and compensating productive employees. The on-site, hands-on education “camps” will take place throughout the year across the country, including locations in Seattle, Philadelphia, Orlando and Atlanta, among others.
“What we are bringing to our members through WFCA University are business strategies and tactics that have been tried and tested over the past 15 years and are part of the daily operations of some of the most successful retailers in the industry,” said CEO Scott Humphrey in a statement. “The instructors in this program currently work in our industry—you might even recognize them!”
The online content can be accessed via a subscription by multiple staff members depending on the plan selected, while the training camps are billed per individual.
