Floor & Décor Preparing IPO Plans

Floor & Décor (Smyrna, Ga.) is preparing for an initial public offering that could value the company at more than $1 billion, according to Reuters, which spoke with sources who asked to remain anonymous because the preparations are confidential.

This is the second time Floor & Décor has contemplated making an IPO. The company filed an IPO registration with the Securities and Exchange Committee in 2014 but withdrew it in 2016. In that plan, the company had decided to list on the New York Stock Exchange, Reuters said.

The sources told Reuters that Floor & Décor is looking for new pitches from investment banks and has already begun interviewing to appoint underwriters for the IPO.

U.S. households earning $75,000 a year can afford only 21.2% of home listings as of March 2025—up from 20.8% in March 2024 and the largest gain of any income group, according to the National Association of Realtors.
