The 2017 World Floor Covering Association Gold Standard Awards went to Sergenian’s (Madison, Wis.) in the Over $10 Million category and Classique Floors & Tile (Portland, Ore.) in the Under $10 Million category.
The Gold Standard Awards are given to companies who have knowledgeable staff, excellent customer service and a sharp store image.
Sergenian’s was recognized for the company’s commitment to customer service and sustainable, eco-friendly business practices. Classique received the award due in part to its highly organized and easy-to-navigate showroom floor that streamlines the buying process.
The first-place winners received their choice of a CFI carpet seaming class, sales training course or one year of tuition for the WFCA’s online university.
Second and third place in the Over $10 Million category went to Coles Fine Flooring (San Diego, Calif.) and Carpetland USA (Davenport, Iowa). In the Under $10 Million category, second and third place went to Independent Carpet One (Westland, Mich.) and Brian’s Flooring & Design (Birmingham, Ala.).
