The World Floor Covering Association board of directors elected Nick Freadreacea, president and owner of The Flooring Gallery (Louisville, Kt.) chairman of the board.
Freadreacea fills the role vacated by Scott Walker of Walker Flooring & Interiors, who became immediate past chairman. This is Freadreacea’s second term as chairman of the WFCA, having served in 2010. He has been involved in the flooring industry for 39 years.
“I am very honored to be at the helm, for a second time, of the World Floor Covering Association,” said Freadreacea in a statement. “The association has made great strides over the past few years in implementing necessary changes and enhancing our industry for the betterment of all.”
The board also elected MaryAnne Adams, president of Avalon Flooring, as chairman-elect; Scott Appel, president of Touch of Color, as secretary; and Deb DeGraaf, president and owner of DeGraaf Interiors, and Dean Howell, owner of Moda Floors and Interiors, as vice chairs. The board confirmed Jason Fromm of Carpet Spectrum Inc. as chief financial officer and treasurer.
