The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, in the wake of President Donald Trump’s executive order on enforcing the regulatory agenda, will host two public meetings to learn from people impacted by the regulations.
The first meeting, held May 1 at 9 a.m. EST, will cover the Formaldehyde Standards for Composite Wood Products rule. The rule sets formaldehyde emission standards for hardwood plywood (including engineered wood flooring), particleboard, MDF and thin MDF. Read more about the rule here.
The second meeting, held May 1 at 1 p.m. EST, will cover the EPA’s Renovation, Repair and Painting rule, which requires contractors disturbing more than 6 square feet of any coated surface in a pre-1978 home or child-occupied facility to be certified by the EPA. Read more about the rule and how it impacts wood floor contractors here.
Participants must register online. For the meeting about formaldehyde, register here. For the meeting about the RRP rule, register here.
