Kährs Group (Altamonte Springs, Fla.) signed a multi-year sales contract with Södra for oak logs it will use to manufacture wood flooring.
While Kährs has purchased oak from Södra for a long time, this extended partnership will allow the company to develop relationships with forest owners and develop its oak purchasing program to add value to its supply chain.
“We want to further develop our oak purchasing, and the long-term approach of Södra’s business model and an extended partnership with forest owners will present us with the right conditions for achieving this goal,” said Christer Persson, president and CEO of Kährs Group, in a statement.
