Saint-Gobain Corporation, the Malvern, Pa.-based parent company of Norton Abrasives, hired Tom Kinisky as CEO.
Kinisky will oversee Saint-Gobain’s family of companies in the United States and Canada. In 1989 he started working for Norton Company, which was acquired by Saint-Gobain in 1990. He spent more than a decade working in research and development in various roles before assuming the role of president for Saint-Gobain Crystals and Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics.
“With more than 30 years of experience in research and development and as an executive of several global businesses’ operations at Saint-Gobain, Tom is uniquely positioned to lead Saint-Gobain’s businesses in North America,” said Pierre-André de Chalendar, chairman and CEO of Saint-Gobain, in a statement.
