J.J. Haines and Company (Glen Burnie, Md.) will spend $6.4 million and bring in 172 jobs if plans for a 500,000-square-foot facility in Concord, N.C., go through, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.
The facility would be part of a building development in the Concord Airport Business Park. Haines expects the facility to open during the first quarter of 2018, and the location will become the base for the company’s operations in the South, Haines’ Chief Supply Chain Officer Doug Drews told the Business Journal.
“The new location will optimize our warehouse network and enable us to provide our customers next-day delivery of our full SKU assortment,” Drews said.
Haines has been granted $64,192 in incentives from Cabarrus County and Concord for the development.
