Seminar: How to Prevent Splitting, Cracking and Cupping of Wood Flooring

Roy Reichow, owner of National Wood Floor Consultants Inc. (Cedar, Minn.), will lead an educational seminar about wood floors splitting, cracking and cupping on Nov. 14 in Arden Hills, Minn.

The class, “Split, Crack & Cup—How Wood Floors Respond to Their Environment,” will cover the causes of such defects, how relative humidity and moisture content impact wood flooring, how to properly acclimate solid and engineered wood flooring, and who is liable for flooring failures. The class will also go over in-floor radiant heat systems.

The class will take place at Flaherty’s Arden Bowl from 8:30–11:45 a.m. and costs $59. The fee includes a breakfast and Q&A session, which begin at 8 a.m.
