American Sanders (Sparta, N.C.) will host a Sand & Finish class Jan. 30–Feb. 1 in New York.
The step-by-step course, taught by industry icon Daniel Boone, will teach participants all aspects of sanding and finishing, including machine maintenance, finish repairs and a bonus demonstration on how to create cerused and wire-brushed finish effects.
The course also offers optional National Wood Flooring Association certification on Feb. 2.
The three-day course costs $275 to register, but the cost is fully refundable upon completion of the class. It will take place at the Council of Carpenters Training Center on 395 Hudson St. in New York.
