Warmly Yours (Buffalo Grove, Ill.) saw a 55.3 percent sales increase in the Houston area in Q3, which the company explains in a post was a result of remodeling activity after Hurricane Harvey destroyed homes in the area.
Floods from the hurricane damaged flooring, and Warmly Yours said customers are inquiring about adding radiant floor heating as part of their remodeling process.
“And while Houston does enjoy warm average temperatures, the nights can be very cool and many surfaces like tile, marble, and stone can be uncomfortably chilly,” the company said in the post. “For these reasons, we’ve already seen an increase in consumer interest in the Houston area for quotes and orders of electric floor heating systems.”
