Horizon Forest Products (Raleigh, N.C.), in partnership with Loudon Valley Floors and HeroHomes, donated hardwood flooring to complete a new home for a wounded veteran in Round Hill, Va.
The recipient is Staff Sergeant Jarrad Davenport. He enlisted in the United States Navy at 17 and volunteered to deploy to Iraq for Operation New Dawn. He was wounded in 2011 during a rocket attack.
“Wounded veterans face a challenging road to recovery back into civilian life,” said Horizon Forest Outside Sales Representative Ed Nuckols in a statement. “This journey is made easier because of the programs and services HeroHomes offers. We’re extremely grateful and proud to support them.”
