The World of Wood Annual Convention held by the International Wood Products Association March 14–16 in New Orleans will host an educational session called “Beyond Scope: Classification and Anti-Circumvention Following the Chinese Plywood Ruling.”
The session leaders are Laurel Duvall, the national import specialist for U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s National Commodity Specialist Division, and Kristin Mowry, a lawyer representing U.S. wood products importers and manufacturers. They will share expertise about the scope of the decision by the federal government to set antidumping and countervailing duties on Chinese manufacturers of hardwood plywood.
“We are excited to have seasoned experts like Ms. Duvall and Ms. Mowry joining us in New Orleans,” said IWPA Executive Director Cindy Squires in a statement. “The Chinese Plywood AD/CVD case is having far reaching impacts and many firms have questions as they adjust to this new market reality. This is a must attend session for plywood importers and for suppliers to the U.S. market.”
