Houzz, an online platform for home renovation and design professionals, released its 2018 State of The Industry report, which found 77 to 88 percent of businesses surveyed have a positive outlook for 2018.
For construction-focused and outdoor industry groups, 36 to 44 percent have a “very good” outlook for the year.
The survey also found positive growth for businesses in 2017, with up to 73 percent of businesses reporting revenue increases and up to 60 percent reporting growth rates of 10 percent or more last year.
Business costs did continue to rise for those surveyed, with labor and materials cited as the top cost drivers. Those surveyed expected labor shortages and costs to increase in 2018.
The survey was taken by 3,378 U.S. residential renovation and design businesses.
