The Certified Floor Covering Installers Association (CFI) announced speakers for its 25th annual convention, scheduled for August 15–17 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Fla.
Josh McGinnis of Unlock Your Biz consultant agency will be the keynote speaker for the event and will give a presentation on business insights and growth strategies Thursday, Aug. 16, from 9:30–10:30 a.m.
Other presentations during the convention include “Practical Leadership—Your Key to Success,” by Scott Humphrey of the World Floor Covering Association (WFCA); “Steps to Successful Installation,” by Don Styka of Tarkett; “Piecework,” by Jeffery King, WFCA Counsel; “AIR.O–Innovation in Soft Floor Covering,” by Andrew Smith of Mohawk; “Commercial Made Easy,” by Rod Von Busch and Roland Thompson of CFI; “The Evolution of Resilient Wall Base,” by Don Styka and Dick Schmidt of Tarkett; “Industry Requirements: Fair or Unrealistic?” by Paul Pleshek of the National Academy of Floor Covering Training (NAFCT); “Pattern Matching/Identification Workshop,” by Dwayne Pruitt of CFI; and “Tools of the Industry,” by Corey Dickerson of Tools 4 Flooring.
Full registration for members is $497, with a day rate of $270; registration for non-members is $585 for full registration or $330 per day. WFCA members can use their WFCA Scholarship Funds to pay for tickets. The convention registration form can be found here.
