MAPEI Corporation (Deerfield Beach, Fla.) announced it is expanding with two new locations, one in Georgia and one in Florida.
Both locations will operate as warehouses and offer local support for customers in North America. The two facilities will eventually transition into plants to increase MAPEI’s production capabilities, the company said.
The first location is in Wildwood, Fla., and currently stands at 100,000 square feet. The company plans to expand the building to 260,000 square feet in the future. The location will service customers in northern Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and other surrounding states.
The second location is in Calhoun, Ga., and is 210,000 square feet. “This location will be developed with the latest production equipment and will feature a state-of-the-art laboratory,” MAPEI President and CEO Luigi Di Geso said in a statement. The building is slated to become a manufacturing plant for resilient flooring and other products, Di Geso added.
With these additions, MAPEI now operates 13 plants and warehouses in the U.S., and more expansions are planned, the company said.
“MAPEI is committed to continually investing for our present and future growth,” Di Geso said. “These expansions are major investments to ensure that we are giving our customers the best service possible, and we will continue to expand our footprint in the Americas.”
