The International Woodworking Fair will hold three silent auctions at its upcoming Atlanta conference to benefit the Woodwork Career Alliance (WCA) of North America, a nonprofit dedicated to developing a skilled woodworking workforce.
Among the items to be auctioned off are a batting helmet signed by recent Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Chipper Jones and a microphone autographed by award-winning singer Taylor Swift.
The auctions will be held on the first three days of IWF, August 22–24, at 3 p.m. Bids will be accepted through text and online. Most of the items will be on display at the conference near press room B402.
“IWF has been a long-time supporter of the Woodwork Career Alliance,” WCA President Scott Nelson said in a statement. “These funds will help us recruit more schools and woodworking companies to our credential Passport program.”
The International Woodworking Fair will be held August 22–25 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
