Man Arrested for Stealing More Than $1,500 Worth of Hardwood Flooring

A man in Springfield, Tenn., confessed to stealing $1,630 worth of hardwood flooring, along with numerous power tools and padding from a home undergoing construction, according to the Nashville Tennessean.

Springfield Police were called for a possible burglary at the home on Aug. 23. William Trobaugh, 38, was later brought in as a suspect in the theft, and confessed that he had entered the house through a side door and took four boxes of flooring. He also said he had made attempts to sell the wood flooring in the area.

Trobaugh was charged with aggravated burglary and theft of property and is being held on a $11,500 bond.
