Kährs Group (Malmö, Sweden) is participating in a research project launched by ProWOOD, an industrial graduate school where students are studying how to promote innovation and competitiveness in the Swedish wood flooring industry.
As part of the study, Ph.D. student researcher Victor Grubii will be stationed in the Kährs facility in Nybro, Sweden, studying how the company’s processing operation can make more effective use of the raw wood material.
“We are proud and pleased to be part of this research together with ProWOOD,” said Kährs COO Samuel Dalen in a statement. “In order to run a sustainable business, we must continuously review and develop our production processes, and we look forward to the conclusions that will be presented in the research project.”
The study, which began in the autumn of 2017, is scheduled to last five years.
