September Construction Spending Up 7.2 Percent Year-Over-Year

Construction spending in the U.S. changed little in September compared with August but grew 7.2 percent when compared with September 2017, to $1.329 trillion.

Residential spending was up 0.5 percent from August and 4.9 percent from 2017; nonresidential spending fell 0.3 percent from August and rose 8.9 percent year-over-year.
