Existing home sales fell 4.9% in March to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 5.21 million, according to the National Association of Realtors (NAR). The rate is 5.4% below March 2018 sales.
Regionally, existing home sales fell 7.9% in the Midwest, 6.0% in the West, 3.4% in the South and 2.9% in the Northeast.
The median home price was $259,400, an increase of 3.8% compared with March 2018.
