Education Guild to Hold Kiln-Drying Class For Hardwood Flooring Pros

The Floor Education Guild will hold a kiln-drying class for hardwood flooring professionals Aug. 5–6 at the Blue Ridge Hotel and Conference Center in Roanoke, Va.

The class will be led by wood scientists, inspectors, examiners and consultants and will include hands-on experience. A half day will be spent at a commercial kiln-drying operation.

“Its purpose is to teach hardwood flooring professionals the true facts, not myths or misleading statements, about drying hardwood for flooring,” the Guild said of the class.

The class is limited to 25 students, and the cost to attend is $475.
