A&H Fine Finishes (Bloomington, Ind.), a contract prefinishing company co-founded by multi-award-winner Daniel Antes of Distinctive Hardwood Floors and Daniel Antes Marquetry, announced it has expanded to a 20,000-square-foot production facility in Bloomington, Ind.
The new facility will house the company’s inlay and flooring production as well as a new prefinished line.
The company, founded two years ago in partnership with and David Howard of Howard’s Home Improvement Inc., handles all aspects of flooring production from tree to kiln, including specialty milling and inlays, finishing and installation. It produces medallions, patterns and hand-scraped products, as well as specialty finishing techniques such as shou sugi ban, an ancient wood burning technique (read Antes’ article about mastering the art of shou sugi ban for flooring here).
“You have to mold to what people want,” Howard said in a statement regarding the recent expansion. “Our commitment to our customers and our desire to provide the highest quality product demands our attention in all aspects of the project.”
