Home prices increased 3.4% year-over-year in May, according to the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Index. The annual gain is down slightly from a 3.5% year-over-year increase in April.
The 10-City Composite annual increase grew 2.2% (down from April’s 2.3%), and the 20-City Composite had a 2.4% increase (down from April’s 2.5%).
Las Vegas, Phoenix and Tampa, Fla., reported the highest year-over-year home price jumps, growing 6.4%, 5.7% and 5.1%, respectively.
