The National Association of Floor Covering Technicians (NAFCT) will host a virtual “Wood Science Essentials” event March 30, 9–4 p.m. EST with presenting sponsor Wagner Meters.
Topics at the event will include kiln drying and defects, wood anatomy and properties, wood identification, wood and water relations, biodegradation and engineered wood and subfloors.
The event will feature presentations from leading university wood scientists, including Frank Owens, Ph.D., Rubin Shmulsky, Ph.D., and Patricia Vega, Ph.D.
Attendees will receive 12 continuing education credits. Registration for NAFCT members is $250, and registration for non-members is $400.
