City Floor Supply’s 9th annual Nailer Day event drew more than 150 flooring professionals to the distributor’s headquarters in King of Prussia, Pa., on March 17, according to the company.
It was the first Nailer Day after a three-year hiatus. More than 60 contestants participated in the event’s popular “Fastest Nailer on the Floor” competition, in which participants attempted to nail down 18 square feet of 2¼ red oak select flooring as fast as possible.
The winner of first place and $500 was Ricardo Silva of RM Floors with a time of 2:29. The second place winner, receiving $250, was Rob O’Connell of O’Connell’s Custom Concept (2:54), and contractor A. Federico took home the third place $100 prize (3:11).
“It was so great to see contractors back in person networking with vendors and learning more about our industry’s latest innovative products,” City Floor Supply Founder Mike Glavin said in a statement. “The crowd gets larger and the competition more exciting each year.”
All told, more than $10,000 in cash and prizes was given out at the event.
The next Nailer Day is scheduled for March 16, 2023.
