Improperly stored rags containing an oil-based stain were cited as the main culprits for a fire that destroyed a house in Spokane Valley, Wash., on May 17, KXLY reported.
The rags were discovered near an electrical outlet in the home, and firefighters believe they played a role in the fire by spontaneously combusting, although the investigation is ongoing.
No one was injured by the fire, which was called in at 5:37 a.m. on May 17.
