Compared with 2021, total hardwood flooring imports were up 17% so far this year.
Hardwood flooring imports from Malaysia in May surged 115%, and imports from Indonesia rose 79%. Imports from Brazil declined 5% in May but rose 19% year-to-date.
Engineered flooring imports dipped 5% in May as imports from China, Indonesia and Vietnam all declined. Engineered flooring imports from Canada increased 17% in May.
