Hardwood plywood imports in the U.S. grew 37% in volume year-to-date in June to 1.96 billion square feet, according to an analysis by the Decorative Hardwoods Association.
Hardwood plywood imports jumped 77% in value from January 2022. Indonesia was the largest source of U.S. hardwood plywood imports, growing 41% since January; Vietnam came in second, with imports soaring 93% in volume.
Russia was the third largest source for U.S. hardwood plywood imports year-to-date in June, growing 2% in volume since January.
