Fifty-four percent of residential construction contractors said they feel a shortage of skilled workers is a barrier to growing their business, according to an industry survey conducted by DeWalt.
Of the residential construction contractors surveyed, 46% identified the next generation of workers as the “most critical industry focus for 2023 and beyond.”
Along with the survey results, DeWalt announced it is accepting applications for the DeWalt Trades Scholarship, which awards students with $5,000 grants to pursue a skilled trade educational program during the 2023–24 academic year.
