RIVA (Miami, Fla.) issued a statement reaffirming its stance as a solid company and emphasizing that it will continue to guarantee the availability of its materials in the wake of the recent closure of Maderas Iglesias, RIVA’s supplier in Spain.
RIVA also clarified that Maderas Iglesias is an entirely separate entity.
“We want to reassure everyone that RIVA is fully capable of guaranteeing its operations,” the company said in a statement to WFB. “Our distribution centers in Jacksonville, Fla., Medley, Fla., and Redlands, Calif., are fully operational, well-stocked, and equipped to meet all your demands.”
RIVA also recently hired Jacobo Iglesias as COO to help with supply. “Based in Spain, Jacobo will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth functioning of our operations,” the company added. “Together with Borja, RIVA’s CEO, and his brother, the fourth generation of the Iglesias family reinforces their commitment to our business and the industry.”
Maderas Iglesias, based in Porriño, began the process of liquidation after a breach of agreement with creditors, Alimarket reported. The manufacturer was founded in 1937 and had subsidiaries around the world.
