The University of Connecticut is turning the floorboards of its old court at Gampel Pavilion into commemorative plaques, bottle openers, pendants and miniature replicas of the iconic floor.
All of the souvenirs made from the 33-year-old wood floor are hand-crafted and available for purchase, with prices ranging from $95 to $140. The university partnered with Artsman to create the commemorative items from the floor.
The wood floor is in the process of being replaced with a new maple surface for the upcoming 2023-2024 basketball and volleyball season.

“Gampel Pavilion is one of the great college basketball venues in the country with so many Husky greats having taken that court, creating countless signature moments during the last 33 years,” UConn Director of Athletics David Benedict stated.
