WFB Briefs: ‘Sharp Decline’ in EU Wood Flooring; NAFCD Convention Registration; Greenbuild Flash Sale

European production of wood flooring had a “sharp decline” in 2022, falling 5% to 92.3 million square meters after recording a 7% annual gain in 2021, ITTO reported. Countries registering declines in 2022 included France (11%), Italy (1%), Spain (8%), the Netherlands (23%), Belgium (12%), Sweden (12%) and the Nordics (8%). Germany, the largest European wood flooring market, saw wood flooring consumption rise 8% compared with 2021.


Registration for the joint NAFCD and NBMDA Annual Convention is open. The convention will be held Nov. 14–16 at the Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs, Colo. The convention brings together flooring distributors for networking, education and more. Early bird rates of $1,015 for NAFCD and NBMDA members are available until Sept. 1.
