European production of wood flooring had a “sharp decline” in 2022, falling 5% to 92.3 million square meters after recording a 7% annual gain in 2021, ITTO reported. Countries registering declines in 2022 included France (11%), Italy (1%), Spain (8%), the Netherlands (23%), Belgium (12%), Sweden (12%) and the Nordics (8%). Germany, the largest European wood flooring market, saw wood flooring consumption rise 8% compared with 2021.
Registration for the joint NAFCD and NBMDA Annual Convention is open. The convention will be held Nov. 14–16 at the Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs, Colo.
