Alignable: 57% of Small Businesses Have Tried Using ChatGPT

Experimentation with new AI tools appears to be growing, as 57% of all U.S. small business owners have reported using ChatGPT for their businesses, according to a survey by Alignable.

Of the small business owners who have used the AI tool, 26% reported being “very optimistic” about its ability to help them build their businesses. So far, ChatGPT has mainly been used for marketing content creation (31%) and customer interaction (13%). It’s also been used for various business functions (7%), discovering industry trends (3%), scheduling (2%) and tech support (1%).

However, of the Alignable 7,802 small business owners Alignable surveyed, 23% said they will never use ChatGPT, citing “major concerns” about the technology, and 20% said they were still unsure and needed more information before attempting to utilize ChatGPT.
