A 78% gain in hardwood flooring imports from Malaysia offset declines from China, where imports dropped 54%, and from Indonesia and Brazil, where imports declined 12% and 11%, respectively.
U.S. imports of engineered wood flooring declined 3% in August, ending a four-month streak of import gains.
