MAPEI Corporation hosted an open house at its newly expanded Calhoun, Ga., facility.
The event was held Oct. 20 at the facility, which now features an additional 45,000 square feet of production space and 20,000 square feet of office space.
“The existing 210,000-square-foot facility has been such a tremendous asset, and demand has been so great, that it necessitated the addition of extra lines to increase our production,” stated Luigi Di Geso, president and CEO of MAPEI Corporation. “Now we are even better able to accommodate the needs of our clients, not only in Georgia, but in the surrounding states.”
The newly remodeled facility features automatic mixing equipment processes, full automation of finished goods packaging, robotic palletization of finished goods, a real-time production monitoring system and bulk storage capacity.
The open house included a BBQ and family entertainment, as well as a guided tour of the research and development laboratory, mixing plant, packaging lines and warehouse.
