Floor & Decor is opening its first location in New York City today. The 129,000-square-foot store is located on the second floor at 850 3rd Avenue at Liberty Bklyn in Sunset Park in Brooklyn.
“Bringing our full-sized warehouse store to New York City’s most populous borough is incredibly exciting given the limited opportunities in Brooklyn to accommodate a home improvement store of our immense magnitude,” said Bryan Dodge, Chief Business Development Officer at Floor & Decor.
During the grand opening, a ribbon cutting will take place at noon with Floor & Decor CEO Tom Taylor and the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. In addition, the store will give away a $5,000 floor makeover as part of its grand opening festivities. Floor & Decor also announced the opening of its third warehouse location in Tennessee, at 184 Indian Lake Boulevard in Hendersonville. The location will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 9. On that day, builders, contractors, architects, designers, remodelers, flooring installers and realtors are invited to a Pro Industry Networking Event on May 9. They will have a chance to win a Chevrolet Colorado, iPad, Floor & Decor gift cards, Yeti Cooler, GoPro and more. Pros can register for the event here.
