Small business optimism hit its highest level since February 2022, measuring 93.7 in July on the NFIB Small Business Optimism Index.
Although optimism among small business owners improved in July, NFIB found the future remains uncertain for small business owners as they face labor cost pressures.
The report states 86% of small business owners couldn’t find enough skilled workers to fill positions in July, and 38% reported having a job opening they could not fill.
