The deadline for Workcamp Parquet’s 2025 project restoring the historic parquet wood floors of the Esterházy Palace in Eisenstadt, Austria, is fast approaching. Interested participants have until April 22 to submit their applications.

Apply by submitting documents of education or knowledge of restoration techniques and a list of references to [email protected].

The project will take place over a week in September. In addition to the floor restoration, the program will host professional seminars on topics such as parquet restoration, restoration chemistry, the influence of colors on the human psyche and the history of parquet floors during the Austro-Hungarian period.

The Workcamp Parquet project was started by wood floor master René Caran from the Czech Republic. It brings together wood flooring masters from around the world to restore historic wood floors.

Workcamp Parquet has restored floors in the Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium and Hungary.

Participants will be selected by BDA Mauerbach and the Curators of Esterházy Palace in May.
