Bona (Malmö, Sweden) reduced its total Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions (market-based) to 1,338 tons of carbon dioxide in 2025, a 46% decrease from 2,483 tons in 2022, according to Bona’s 2025 sustainability report.
“Our business is built on extending the life of existing flooring materials and reducing the need for replacement,” Interim Chief Executive Officer Lidija Broström said. “At Bona, we are making steady progress in reducing our impact while building a stronger foundation for the future. By working closely with our partners, we aim to drive meaningful change across our value chain and contribute to a more sustainable future.”
Other findings from the report:
- GHG intensity was reduced from 93 in 2022 to 52 in 2025.
- Total energy use was up to 11,777 MWh in 2025 from 10,793 in 2022, but it was down from 14,123 in 2023 and 12,111 in 2024.
- Energy intensity per produced unit was up to 456 kWh/ton in 2025 from 404 in 2022 but down from 566 in 2023 and 483 in 2024.
