In its 2025 sustainability update, Kährs Group (Malmö, Sweden) reported that all of its owned production sites now run on 100% renewable energy, and 97% renewable energy across global operations.
The company reported that it is in reach of its SBTi-validated target of 95% reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030, having already cut them by 92% against the 2020 baseline.
Additionally, 89% of the wood Kährs sourced in 2025 was within Chain of Custody schemes, a 75% year-over-year increase.
The company plans to continue its sustainability practices while addressing areas where it needs improvement. “With regulations tightening and 2030 approaching, the cost of inaction is rising and maintaining momentum is not a choice, it is a business necessity,” Head of ESG Therése Gerdman said.
