Hardwood veneer and plywood manufacturer Manthei Wood Products (Petoskey, Mich.) recently acquired Cahaba Veneer in Centreville, Ala., retaining 67 jobs and adding 37. With a capital investment of up to $10 million, Manthei plans to upgrade equipment, improve efficiency and expand capabilities, according to a press release from the Bibb County Economic & Industrial Development Authority.
