
The National Association of Home Builders launched a resource called the State Projections of Remodeling that will offer quarterly analyses of each state’s remodeling activity based on total dollar volume, market share and change in remodeling spending.
The first edition of the SPR reported that California was the top state for remodeling in the fourth quarter of 2025, with 7.9% market share, or $22.11 billion. Texas came in second with a 7.0% share, or $19.7 billion.
The SPR also revealed that Michigan had the largest change in remodeling spending in the fourth quarter, with a 15.9% increase, or $965.1 million (four-quarter moving average).
