Horizon Forest Products (Raleigh, N.C.) acquired Rochester, N.Y.-based flooring distributor Installers Warehouse on June 1. The move supports the company’s ability to serve its Northeast customers, it said in a press release.
Horizon plans to build upon Installers’ foundation that was established in 2008 by Craig Dupra and operated under his leadership for 18 years.
Former Pallmann Regional Manager Wikus Nel has been appointed to lead the new Horizon operation. Company leaders John Rendleman, Morgan Stout, Fred Timberlin and Mike Benvenuti will work closely with Wikus and the Rochester team to ensure a smooth integration process and successful launch.
“This location allows us to continue expanding our presence in the Northeast and significantly improve how we serve customers throughout Western New York,” David Williams, vice president of Horizon Forest Products said. “Customers will benefit from local inventory, a broader selection of materials, and increased delivery flexibility. The Rochester branch allows Horizon to extend service capabilities westward to Buffalo, essentially covering all of New York State, the company said, adding that “the acquisition reflects Horizon Forest Products’ ongoing commitment to investing in its customers, employees and communities while delivering exceptional products, service and support throughout its growing distribution network.”
