Traxx Corporation (Pomona, Calif.) announced that it effectively acquired Powernail Company (Genoa City, Wis.) on July 1. In addition to its California headquarters and new Wisconsin facility, Traxx has an operation in Calhoun, Ga.
Powernail Company was founded in 1946 by brothers Carl and Ed Anstett. The two revolutionized the hardwood flooring industry, developing the first “L” Cleat Powernail and the Model 45 Powernailer. Now led by Dave Anstett—who will remain in his current role to support the transition—Powernail Company has been a family-owned and operated business since its founding.
“We are excited about the prospect of growing not only our own Traxx name but also the banner of quality brands that enrich our product offering in the hardwood flooring industry channel and beyond,” Traxx Vice President of Sales and Marketing Mark Johnson said in a press release. “There will be no interruption in production or availability in your choice of purchasing outlet; please continue to purchase Powernail products as you have been from your preferred dealer,” he added.
