Power tool manufacturer TTS Group (Wendlingen, Germany) announced that Shaper Tools’ (San Francisco) product lineup will officially move into the Festool (Lebanon, Ind.) portfolio beginning 2027. Festool will support Shaper customers as they make the transition, according to the company.
Shaper introduced Origin, billed as the first handheld CNC router, in 2016 and became part of family-owned TTS—Festool’s parent company—in 2019. Since then the two brands have collaborated on the manufacturing of Origin and, more recently, the production of shaper’s BenchPilot.
"Shaper's digital technologies and capabilities complement Festool's longstanding application know-how in a compelling way," said Dr. Wolfgang Knorr, co-chief executive officer of TTS Group. "By bringing these strengths together, we are creating the foundation for innovative solutions that combine digital intelligence with practical application expertise—delivering even greater value for our users."
